I have a bunch of 512GB and a couple 1TBs laying around, but I don't have any low capacity cards, do I need to go out and buy one to use with my osmo action 3 that arrives tomorrow?

It says it only support up to 256GB if I remember right, so you probably have to do so.

Man, im getting old when 256gb is considered 'low' capacity.

Someone on another forum said a 1TB is working in theirs, so hopefully mine will too, I'll report back.

Go to the DJI website and look up the specs for the camera. It says what's the maximum size you can use.

Yes, manufacturers always have a max size and usually sizes larger work anyways.  Someone on Reddit said they are using a 1TB in theirs and it works fine.  What they say in specs for SD cards is rarely correct.
