Should I get the OM6? I have a OM3 so I don't know...

I had the OM3 and then OM5 and find the OM6 to be a nice upgrade, particularly with a larger phone. I like the separate phone holder, easy-on, roller for zoom, and more compact when folded.

I have sold my OM1 and got a Pocket 2.
That works better for me.

I really did not like having to use my phone for this.
I liked having a dedicated camera instead.

Yeah, I know that urge.
But I have to fight it and be rational.
And I did not like to have to work with video from my phone or shoot video using my phone.
Especially for longer timelapses (that is what I use the Pocket 2 for a lot)

I make music too and trust me... I have more money in all my music gear than all the drones I had and will have combined lol. My 2 pianos alone cost $5.5k

I'm a bass guitar player originally.
(all hobby btw)
So I have my 5 string and an amp modeler (zoom B3)

But I started making electronic music more, first with the band, so I got a Moog Subsequent 37 for nice sub bass.
Then I wanted to make more 'DAWLess' music and got a Roland MC-707.
Next I bought a Moog Minitaur, because I really love that Moog sound.
And a Source Audio Collider for some reverb and delay.
Finally I added a Novation Peak for the polyphonic stuff.

This was all bought during 2,5 years or so.

Here you can see me use it all.

I have a 5 string too. I also got a top of the line Roland stage piano and a almost top of the line Yamaha arranger keyboard but I use Logic Pro X.

For working in the DAW I usually use Reason. Just upgraded to 12
And when recording the band, I use Reaper. Nothing beats that in terms of lightweight multitracking software.

Oh. I never heard of those programs. Logic Pro X is the best for what I do.

I think all DAWS have their pros and cons.
Reaper is very cheap and lightweight (runs on super cheap laptops)
Reason is by far the most inspiring as it resembles a 'real' studio environment with cables, knobs, buttons etc.
But Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, FL studio and Ableton Live are all great DAWs too.
I just happen to need a cheap / lightweight one (Reaper) and I have been using Reason for 20 years now, so I'm very used to that one.

And that gets really expensive really quickly.
Especially since I want to have at least 1TB HD and 16Gb mem.

Those things are EXPENSIVE. I have a 2020 13 inch MacBook Pro M1 256GB SSD 8gb Ram which I got used for $350.

I have the pocket 2 and want to sell it to get the OM6. To be honest, i have the iphone 13 pro max and i think its just the better device. The pocket 2 has only one wide angle lens which is not so nice and i dont like the small screen and the solution with the smartphone as a larger screen. I also dont like the idea that the videos are stored in the DJI App as well. The Om6 with the Iphone 13 pro max will be much better for my needs. I do alot of amazon reviews and i have the Sony ZV1 and the Fuji XT-30ii as well for video, i also have the DJI Gimbal RSC2. But the pocket though, i never got warm with the product and its video quality. Its probably good for filming yourself when walking but i never do that.

But I never use my phone with the pocket 2. It is all about size and being able to just gab it out of my pocket (pun intended)
I understand it is not the best camera, but if I want my best camera, I just grab my D750 and make footage with that. And I still get pretty decent footage out of it.

I know, not the best, but good enough for this type of shooting.
