Light Pollution........


Took the Mini2 up before sunrise,  but the low light capabilioties of this drone is not good, I really should have taken the Mini3 but I so hate that RCN1 controller.  I know,  I know,  Im spoilt.

This shot must have been just barely before the sun popped up DA.  I do see a bit of haze and that can distort the light a bit.  You really can't fairly compare the Mini 3 Pro vs the Mini 2 cameras and capabilities either.  Still a nice super early morning shot.  

I like it.

It was a couple of minutes after Civil twilight when I took that.   But there was a lot of cloud cover that blocked out any light from above,   a few minutes later I was landing due to the rain.

Yes,  the weather forecast said it wouldn't start to rain until 8am,    but it was an hour early and I got fairly wet getting the 2 miles home in it.

So for the second time today that weather has caught me out.   the rain stopped,  the sun came out,  the hourly forecast said it wouldn't rain for the rest of the day,  and 2 miles from home the heavens opened.  Hopefully I got the shot with a moody sky I wanted.  No drone as its too windy.

No its not,   Ive been having a quiet day apart from that getting the calendars ready to go to the printers and descaling some taps. .

First thing it was quite pleasant out for sunrise.  but now the wind is picking up and there is a chance of some light rain for the next few hours.

Hopefully, you were able to get out early then and get in a flight or two.  If not, maybe your long walk before the rain hits.

I was out on the dark this morning,  wanted to get out before the winds got here.  And Im a bit addicted to sunrise at the moment.

We each have our own priorities and routines.  

I think the picture has a nice mood in it.

Seeing that and the title of the thread, it got me wondering if anybody has experiences about the light pollution filters available for some cameras. I saw one from Freewell for the Osmo Pocket/Pocket 2 on their website and was wondering if it's worth the investment.

Though could be I am taking it too far with trying to get all the possible accessories for the Pocket 2

Its windy at the moment but sunny,  I did manage to get out and grab a fall shot for Monty,  I'll post it tommorow.  Cleaning the shower glass now

That storm that just passed through the Gulf of Mexico pushed winds upward bringing some unseasonably high temps.  Was 32C yesterday.  Sunny but unfortunately too windy to fly.  Dropped a couple of lines in the water but only caught a few small perch.  Threw them back in.

Just found the Extension Rod at a great price sold by a guy who had the misfortune of losing his Pocket 2.
