Leaves turning colour and starting to fall. One of the last sunny days, maybe, before the winter chills begin to make themselves felt.

Remarkable shots Mr. B.    The colors leave no doubt about summer being on the way out.

Little update:

Since  my accident, yesterday was the first time I've been back scuba diving.   I was a bit apprehensive but once in the water and making bubbles all  was well again.

I did the physical therapy route for 3 weeks and it definitely helped as I had no muscle ache whatsoever.  It was really exciting to get back underwater and see things that are visible from above the water.  Maybe, I should have been a fish.    Or maybe that's why I spent so much time in the Navy.

I'd call you Cap'n Nemo - but he was a submariner
It'll have to be Aquaman
The Man from Atlantis (Patrick Duffy)

I rode a submarine once and it was definitely not my cup of tea.  I need to surface and see the sun and breathe in some fresh air once in a while.  Aquaman works for me.

Those definetely look much better than the murky autumn views seen from my window

Also, glad to hear about DowntownRDB's recovery going better :-) It would be pretty cool (but in my case absolutely not true ) if somebody was to equate me to Jason Momoa's Aquaman

Beautiful shot Bleriot. It’s already starting to feel like fall where we live, the winds have changed and then the very few tree we actually have here in the desert besides Joshua trees are turning orange and red, and yes the inevitable cold chills have come but in my opinion when you’ve had 102 degree weather all summer long the cold is kinda welcomed.

Hi Fred.Thanks. We've had a hotter than usual summer and autumn here. Now the evenings are getting perceptibly colder. From what you say, it sounds as though you live in a fairly arid region.
Maybe the cold there is fairly dry. Here, it's the humidity which makes our winters damp and miserable.
But then, only a few months from now we'll be talking about the early signs of Spring

You guess correctly my friend, I live in a small town called Hesperia in Southern California, and beside Iraq we are the only place to have Joshua trees and it rarely ever rains and the cold is a dry cold but when it’s super windy does it hurt but I can imagine how it would feel in more of a humid cold. But I personally like cold seasons as It feels very homey to me sitting by the fire (with the exception of high gas prices being over 6$) and doing puzzles with my family and drinking hot tea. But as it gets colder keep warm my friend.

Fascinating background detail about those unusual trees.

Expect it won't be long until the freeze hits Blériot. In the meantime take photos while the sun shines, or something like that.

Thanks Bruce
It's wild and windy after overnight rainstorms where we are at the moment (travelling).
Just uploading some footage to YT at the moment from our journey yesterday, but the bandwidth at our digs is pretty mediocre.

Thank you. Autumn is the most colourful month isn't it.
I was pleased to see these trees in a communal garden a few days ago :
