I usually tend to use 1080p30fps. Not too taxing for the hardware, yet good enough for my purposes. I do sometimes switch to 25fps if I need to switch the shutter speed from 1/60 to 1/50 due to electric lighting flickering on view etc. But I guess there is no real reason why I couldn't use higher fps. Of course, haven't done so much slowing down the footage, so for that, it is probably essential to guarantee the smooth motion.

With the pocket I always shoot 50fps, so I can slow it down to 25 if I want to.
And never 30 or 60 because my other camera's are also set to 50 of 25

It will be impossible to combine them otherwise. Unless you change the framerates of course. But that can look ugly quickly.

True that. I experimented with Handbrake and it will do in a pinch, but better to play it safe the way you say.
