B4UFLY and Air Control are useful cell phone apps to verify legal and illegal locations to fly. However, it appears they both need internet access, I see no way to download maps so that when I am travelling in locations without cell service that I can confirm I can fly legally. Am I wrong?

You can move the map around in the app. Check the location before you leave home. Or before you lose service.

Just do your research before you head out to fly.

Since this is a 3rd party application ( B4UFLY ), I hope that you will get the best information with regards to this matter from our fellow DJI co pilots who have tried using the B4UFLY application when flying there DJI Drones.  Just a reminder to please use the DJI application when flying your DJI Drones for compatibility and reliability purposes. You could take screen captures of the data you need or use an app for flying that allows you to download VFR charts that have the same information.
