Can anybody tell me that the red circled value tries to tell me?
(below 3m flight level it is the drone height measured by VPS). But what are the strange values indication when flying higher?

Combined height/distance from the user/launch point I believe.. Not the most accurate of things IMO.. Im thinking that withut a GPS enabled device, the reading might be off a little.

Thanks sploodge. Indeed not accurate at all. My iPad mini 2 has indeed no GPS in it. Do you think it would be more accurate with a GPS enabled device?

I don't think so -> 200 m AGL. Civil aircrafts would not see your minidrone ...
Maybe we can read more about accidents in the newspapers.

I think it calculates using the BLUE dot on the map ( your location ) not the set homepoint on startup.. I use a Mini 3 with no GPS so cannot confirm if its better with GPS.. Might borrow the wifes iPhone 6 to test it

As far as I know, the Swiss law only forbids to fly higher than 150m if inside a TMA or other approach sectors of an airport. For the rest of the airspace it's your responsibility to keep the drone away from other aircraft..

It's 100% meaningless above 10'/3m. DJI probably should have coded the app to disregard this readout. Instead it appears to take erroneous information to propagate the field.

You are right.

Well, you asked about the red "circled" number. Not sure which number Splooge was talking about. Zooming in on the numbers you circled in red indicate to me that's how long the video has been recording. One of them is 4:24 and the other one is in excess of 10 minutes.

The figures near the bottom (the red rectangle) - I thought at first it was the distance of the Phantom from you, but that contradicts the number you can see to the left of the red rectangle.
