Sad to say, but it has happened to me more than once.  

Going into Alabam from Tennessee, the first Welcome Center has a Saturn V rocket on display. I did a beautiful ground to tip view, only when I began the POI Quick Shot did I realize that I had not started the camera. At that trip I didn't have time to restart it. Oh well.

Forget..what???? I am 75 years old. Understood? I forgot what I was doing before I finished this reply. Looks like I completed it..ok ;-)
A few nights ago I performed a wonderful M3 aerial display over my neighbor's wedding reception at night over their celebration. It was great with swirls and circles in colored lights in sync with the live music. They said is was very cool.....But I forgot to record it. I need help.

oh yes,  usually when a weird train or flock of birds is passing.  

Don't forget to stop recording at the end of the flight/video also, or your video may be incomplete.

I would think DJI could easily add the feature they provided for the original FPV drone - an option to start recording video automatically at the start of each flight. I don't know why they don't have this on everything.
