I am now back From Holiday and updated the firmware on the Osmo Action 3. The one think that I am super pleased with is the switch on speed. This was good before but it is now almost instant. For and action camera and the sort of recording I dom this is deffo the sort of thing you need

I wish it was  on the spot and not just for standby, the Osmo Action  does about the same, if asked,  the Action 3 needs to be a bit more reliable, it's not 75% the time it worked   IMO

- Added volume control function. High, medium, low, and mute are now available.
- Speeded up the boot time of the camera.
- Optimized detection algorithms of the touchscreens to reduce false touches when going in and out of water.
-  Optimized automatic exposure to improve image quality and enhance color performance when used in scenes with low light.
-  Added automatic screen orientation when playing back footage.
-  Optimized the edge distortion of footage when Standard (Dewarp) is selected.
-  Improved the compatibility with Android 13.
-  Fixed some minor bugs.

In my case after using a lot, switch on speed fluctuates from ~1 s and up to ~4 s... no idea what is causing the difference. Seems random, but probably not. Must depend on some state of the camera.
