From my vague memory of the place the village is quite pretty.   Apart from the bungalows opposite the pub.

It's very picturesque, yes. We would have spent longer there but for the awful weather.

Full sun here today,   I did an extra early sunrise which wasnt the best,  and I just found that the firmware upgrade turned off raw images for me.

Not yet Monty - that was ,on a rainy Saturday afternoon in England, on the way south to the ferry port.
The castle bears the same name as an early Lord Mayor of London from the 15th Century

Same here,  we had brilliant sunshine this morning but I was expecting an amazon delivery,   (new hard disk for all these pictures Im collecting) and then I planned to head out,  but the delivery now changed to by 10pm so Ive done some gardening until the rain kicked in.   Lots more rain here for the next week so you may have some time to catch me.

Just once,   at least until the next firmware resets it again.  I seem to recall it happened last time too.

I should,  but probably wont.  

It's great having the controller back though,  and this one feels slightly better quality than my original,   sturdier if I had to put a word on it.

Maybe it's just that your other one has become slightly worn, the amount of use you had given it?

It could very well be.   I have dug out a nylon pull string bag to keep this one in,  the other picked up some wear on the rubber and I hope this might reduce that.

It's a pity the weather was so miserable when we passed through. I was hoping for a better filming opportunity.

Thanks. Yes it dates back to before 1138. That's when an earlier construction was modified and fortified, into what you see the remains of today.
