Hi, there.
When using GNSS or RTK positioning, the photos will record the latitude, longitude and altitude information, which is actually the position at the moment of the photo, but under RTK positioning, the positioning accuracy is higher.
Besides, if there is anything else that we can help with, please let us know.
Thank you for your support.

HI all. My first post on the forum and new to the DJI community. I have recently purchased a Mavic 3 Enterprise with the RTK module

I started up the drone and controller and linked them. The aircraft and controller were linked to a dji account as per the prompts. I have updated the firmware to the latest version
All checks are ok and status is fine
However. I have turned off the aircraft and controller and installed the RTK module on top. Then turned on the aircraft and controller. However, it seems to me that the aircraft is not detecting the RTK module. See the status below. I have attached a screenshot showing the aircraft with the RTK module installed on top and the below screen shot of the status screen showing disconnected.
I have watched the tutorial videos of the RTK installation and its supposed to be simply plug the module in and it must be detected and then set up.
Things I have tried:
Unplugging and replugging the module
Reverting the aircraft and controller to the previous firmware version
Trying to start the aircraft outside to get better satellite coverage.
Do you know of any different procedure to get the RTK module detected or anything else I should try?

Thanks

Correct method to use the RTK module is:
- while drone is off open the connector cover and mount the RTK module in place, tighten the thumb screws down to finger tight.
- power on the controller (make sure you have internet connectivity on the controller)
- power on the drone (doesn't matter inside or out)
- once the drone is connected I believe there was a registration prompt that came up about the RTK module but I could be wrong
- go into camera view and settings, there should be a new section that shows for RTK, turn on RTK in there

If your still not getting anywhere then I would contact DJI support or your reseller as going by what you have said you have a faulty unit (could be the drone but is most likely the RTK unit)

Thanks that is the procedure I have done. I'm not getting any prompts and the RTK module is not showing up.

I have contacted the supplier to hopefully organise a replacement module

hi, similar question regarding the exif data with RTK, i have the following exif data with M3E, I am very new to geo referencing topic, please bear with me, and let me know if i need to create a new thread for this.

Camera Model NameM3E
OrientationHorizontal (normal)
X Resolution72
Y Resolution72
Resolution Unitinches
Software10.10.10.12
GPS Version ID2.3.0.0
GPS Latitude RefNorth
GPS Longitude RefWest
GPS Altitude RefBelow Sea Level
GPS StatusMeasurement Active
GPS Map DatumWGS-84
Image SourceWideCamera
Gps StatusRTK
Altitude TypeRtkAlt
Absolute Altitude-15.093
Relative Altitude+11.999
Rtk Flag50
Rtk Std Lon0.01078
Rtk Std Lat0.01274
Rtk Std Hgt0.02372
Rtk Diff Age0.80000
Surveying Mode1
UTC At Exposure2022:12:14 18:57:14.683925
GPS Altitude15 m Below Sea Level
GPS Latitude37º 52' 16.32" N
GPS Longitude122º 18' 54.70" W
I have several questions:
1) If I want to read the RTK GPS coordiantes, should i directly read the  GPS Lat/Lon values ? (seems so based on the discussion above, but wanted to confirm)
2) is the UTC At Exposure time synced with GPS time ?
3) Why is GPS Altitude Ref saying Below Sea Level ? is that because the base station is below sea level ? and then Absolute Altitude of -15.093 would mean 15.093 above sea level ?
4) at the end of the flight, I also have additional files such as PPKNAV.nav PPKOBS.obs PPKRAW.bin and Timestamp.MRK, are those files only needed if require PPK processing ? why would i need those files if the RTK is embeded in the EXIF ?

hi, similar question regarding the exif data with RTK, i have the following exif data with M3E, I am very new to geo referencing topic, please bear with me, and let me know if i need to create a new thread for this.

I have several questions:

1) Yes you can read EXIF. Photogrammetry software does this very well. They even convert them to UTM (in meters) which makes measurements easier and more precise than with degrees minutes seconds.

2) Yes UTC

3) Below the sea level because there is a minus. If it is positive it would be written Above sea level. You understood the principle. -15 is "ellipsoidal" altitude and +11 is "geoidal"
Please note that photogrammetry software always reads the ellipsoid from DJI device. Which explains the discrepancy. See below *5)

4) Yes those files are for PPK. If you delete them I'm not sure DJI Terra appreciates them, but with Agisoft you can put them in the trash if you don't want to make PPK. As for the others, I do not know.

5) And finally, the answer to the question you will be asking in the next few minutes:
