Oh man, this looks like a great update. I think the biggest complaints left is SDK and waypoints.

I'll await the guinea pig FW testers to report back exactly what the EU C1 update does to the drone. I'd rather buy a new M3 with this firmware and keep one on the old FW if it makes it fly in strange ways to comply with the C1 rules.

Great news on the brake sensitivity though, long time coming and proof to all the doubters that the sensitivity was set too high.

What changes were implemented to comply with C1 certification requirements?
As far as I recall, there should be included:
- low speed mode
- reduction of noise signature
No signs of these in the release notes.Edit: Found the list:

C1-certified drones with C1-compliant firmware are also subject to additional mandatory changes under European Drone Regulation:

• The Mavic 3 series meets the new noise reduction level of 83db.
• When the ActiveTrack Intelligent Flight Mode is used to film people or objects, the distance from the person/object will be limited to 50 m. Beyond 50 m, ActiveTrack will be disabled.
• the Auxiliary LEDs will be turned on or off automatically during use, based on the actual environment, and
• the LEDs at the front arms of the drone will blink by default for the duration of the UAV being powered on

LOL!  Damn.  I just sent my M3 Cine back for service for horizon tilt.  Now I have to wait to get this back to see the new features.  DJI!!! BRAKE SENSITIVITY!  I think I could hug a support person.  : )

The Mavic 3 seems very expensive drone anymore when compared with Mavic 3 Classic. I hope we can see additional futures for that very expensive telephoto lens and maybe other improvements over Mavic 3 Classic. Otherwise, I will be unhappy to buy the expensive one...

Need to mention - now the numbering sequence continues after format.
Also, the GUI for pitch/yaw and  expo settings is much better.

remember eu c1 is for europe ,  not uk yet

Ran the update. At first, the download speed was abysmal (like 0.4mbps on my 500mbps fiber), so I canceled after 3 attempts, waited an hour, and triggered the update again.
This time it ran at 5mbps, which was tolerable.
After the update, a lot of my custom settings were reset, so there was that. Make sure to check yours.
Also, I got "RID Error" once on the first start, but it went away and I didn't see it again (yet).
Hopefully will be able to fly and try the new features soon.

And not to beat on the dead horse, but can we get Waypoints and SDK next?

I was just going by -

Still no controls for sharpening or noise reduction. This was introduced earlier in the week for Mini pro 3 and Air2s . I wonder is that coming for M3.

I guess I'll have to do a real world trial but I still don't see an embedded color profile in the DNG like you see with the Mini 2, Air 2S so not really sure how they "fixed" this.

Cruise control is attractive, but if that enables anyone around to track me I'm just going to keep on my current firmware no matter what till a workaround is available.

I don’t think that needs to happen. Its the craft that’s certified, it already qualifies for the for the C1 mark. I wouldn’t be surprised that the FW will be pushed on users in one form or another. Remote ID will also need to come but it hasn’t been made clear how exactly it will work in Europe. Broadcasting personal data in the EU is protected by GDPR so its not known how they will work this one out.

Installed the update on my Mavic 3.
D-Log ISO 1600 is showing up now... night mode is NOT (tried with different frame rates and resolutions). Speed adjustment is also NOT there. Cruise control is only showing up as "Hyperlapse cruise control".
I'm using the RC-N1 controller, up to date fly app. Wondering if the update is fully working for anyone else with the RC-N1?

Thank you so much DJI for this wonderful update. It does show that DJI listens to their customers as many of these could have arouse from many people on this forum complaining about brake sensitivity, Cine mode not being slow enough for filming, 1600 ISO in D-Log and hopefully in HLG is also a welcome addition to stand against Evo 2 Pro moonlight. So these are now addressed. DJI Team, thank you so much for this update. Just wanted to remind about SDK as one of a very long awaited features, if you could please keep it on the radar as many of us really need it
