The Cement Factory........

Spotted this cement factory in the middle of some fields, so it would have been rude not to have gone in for a closer look.

I really like how they have everything so well organized on the factory site.  I assume rain doesn't effect all the different piles.

Yes,   the stiching worked really well with that shot,  with lots of details.  I noticed afterwards when looking at the images that there is a weigh bridge on site too.

It would guess it would affect how much water they add when making it,  but I've never been there after rain.     Lots of rain here at the moment and flood risks nearby.

Lots of places have need rain but not a deluge.  Saw where there were some mud slides in California from the pounding rain.  Months ago they couldn't get rain and now parts are seeing flooding and mud slides.

Okay, once you zoom in it does appear to be drive over scales.

Slower is better when it comes to rain.  Soaks in much easier and doesn't tend to cause any flooding issues.

Nice capture. This looks like an aggregate (sand, gravel) sorting facility.  It would not matter that the materials are wetted when combined with Portland cement, but the amount of absorbed water would be taken into account in the batching process.

Yes.  Quite deceiving with the sun out.   Been out shopping for parents as he’s taking it easier for a few days.   Also found out he’d turned off fall notification from his watch which explains why I wasn’t notified.  Made him turn it on.
