I bought the proview system, and was told that accoding top spec that this drone coudl fly 10km.

I know there is interference and that i should not expect 10km.
The vendor told me that i will get 5km from the proview system.

I tested the range at 2 different locations.
the first location was in the bush. i got to 900m and the RTH wanted to kick in.
the second location was in a suburb with interference, i got to 850m, and the RTH wanted to kick in.

So i can garantee that the range of the DJI AVATA "PRO VIEW" is no more that 1km.
This is flase advertising and very bad.

my DJI phantom 3 professional fly further that the AVATA.

So be carefull before you buy. The drone range is not as advertised.

Does your Avata using FCC or CE?
I don’t think battery is enough for 10km so how could they tested hehe.
I flew out about 2km in FCC then had to go back because the battery.

Load the FCC hack on the goggles. Find info on youtube.

So you did 2 flights and you can already guarantee us the Avata does not go further than 1km
Passing 1km I still have 100% RC and Video link …

I noticed that the range depends on the direction of goggles and RC/MC. It is the best when googles and RC/MC look in the direction of Avata. Did you try to change the direction in your tests?

Can you please download the DJI Assistant 2 consumer drone version and please update/refresh the firmware of all the components that you have to see if the issue persists? In addition, could you please provide us with a screen recording of your Goggles for us to check? Please note that you need to install an SD card on the Goggles for you to enable the Camera View Recording under Settings>Camera>Advanced Camera settings> Camera View Recording. Does anybody have experience with it? Is it effective?

Yagi antennas are directional. It would increase the range in the direction of the antenna.
But as these antennas are not connected directly to the Goggle 2 I don’t see how with is going to work …
