Yes, possibility. But why did they not communicate this to the users of the Mavic 3 before upgrading? I read the release notes carefully and there was nothing about it. I understand if this is obliged but ask the users first what they want. And why would they add this on this time to the m3, it is too early now for C1 marking.
I need it that the firmware would be restored or that the options come back in a new version of the firmware. By not being able to set the aux lamp you lose complete possibilities, then the Cruise control can be stolen for me. you could make really cool effects with the aux lamp in the sky and besides that it was an essential part in terms of the visibility of the uav.
As I have stated in another post, for a lot of users being able to achieve C1 now is opening up a lot of new ways to fly legally. Might not be so for you, is not so for me either (at least when I fly on a job), but I'm sure many users can't wait to get the C1 certification on their drone.
Now I totally understand your point about not being warned before that a feature that is crucial for you and your work has been taken away. I really hope DJI will make it possible for you to downgrade the firmware.
I have had experiences like that in the past, and since then I never upgrade any equipment that I make money with on day one, but wait until others have found out what all the implications are (new bugs, features taken away, etc.). |
