I don't think he changed anything other than the addendum he added probably to address everyone's comments about OA.

I agree with OP, we should all support this idea and ask dji to implement it.  It's a nice feature to have and I've used it many times to simulate cabled camera systems which can't be achieved manually.

Were it obvious to you then your initial question would not have been presented in the manner you chose.  "I've been denied a feature!  Waaa!"  You would have requested a toggle be added to disable OA during RTH.   You mistakenly believed rotation during RTH to be a "feature", lacked an understanding for why it is not working, nor had a grasp on the fundamentals of the subject.  It was only after "dullards" repeatedly educated you did you finally comprehend, triggering a futile attempt to conceal your ignorance by modifying your original post.

Nice try Einstein.  Or should I say Bilbo?

I have yet to see a single useful or meaningful post from you.  Have fun flying your drone straight manually while operating your sticks and gimbal dial simultaneously.   You must be an awesome pilot.

Sorry, what is this bickering about?  What did I do?

LOL, Big Bird and a couple of other morons have been bickering through this entire thread.   Go ahead and read it all, you'll see how much time they wasted repeately stating the obvious.  Birdy boy is just frustrated because I keep embarrassing him in public but he keeps coming back for more.  He doesn't seem to know how idiotic he looks coming here and bashing a dead thread and wasting his time as he doesn't seem to be interested in the feature I'm asking for because he is such a great pilot that he can do these maneuvers manually (LMAO).

btw  - Big Birdy, I didn't waste any time of my time as you did since my request has been heard and delivered to the developers and my thread served its purpose.  You?  You just wasted several days trying to kill my thread but you failed.  Now, move along cyber bully (that's all you can be, hiding behind your monitor).  Loser.

I don't understand why folks would be against this feature and why it's not possible.  It's possible in the Mini2 so it should be possible on the Mini 3.   Supposed to be an upgrade.

No.  If you had read the post carefully, you wouldn't make such a kneejerk mistake as you keep doing throughout this thread.  My advice to you is read what it says, not what you imagine and you might sound smarter than you actaully are.

Also, I'm done talking to you.  You and any other *sshole sitting here promoting physical violence is where I draw the last line.

Yes it does, no DJI drone with OA has it.

Mavic 2 Pro and zoom had it and both of these had OA. You could turn OA off in both these drones. Can’t see dji opting to allow switch off OA in RTH with mini 3, but a much better option now is implement Cruise control for Mini 3 and you can get so much more out of this drone .

I believe both algorithms are already available and really up to the will of DJI for impelmentation.  There shouldn't be much difference between the code allowing yaw control during RTH and Yaw control for cruise control.   I say give us both!

As has been explained to you numerous times, no algorithm is required.  All that is necessary is a toggle to disable OA during RTH.

My bad. Maybe it's only drones that use the Fly App that can't? Appreciate the correction. Yes, Cruise Control and Waypoints in ALL flight modes would be the best. If I had my choice - Waypoints. And since BOTH of these options are available in Hyperlapse, it should not be that hard to implement.

Of course an algorithm is required. Just changing the UI in Fly isn't going to make all this work.   Underlying code needs to be set.   Stop acting like you are a technical guy because you're clearly not.   You don't have credentials to use words like "algorithm" in a sentence.  You don't know what the word means.  If you ever wrote code you'd realize what stupid statements you're making.

No it isn't you blithering blowhard.  Clearly you don't even understand the meaning of an algorythm.  You yaw the bird manually with the sticks.  That function is already present.  All that is necessary is a toggle to disable OA during RTH.  With OA disabled, the bird is free to respond to the controls.

Simple solution.  Simple concept.  Alas, you are even more simple...

The code to keep the drone heading fixed while looking around needs to be implemented in the Mini 3.  This code is already in Mini 2.  Updating fly app OA switch alone will not make this happen as turning OA switch off only does what it says (turn off OA) but it does not control how the drone flies in a straight line while looking around.  I really want this feature back.  I have some of the most awesome cable camera shots using this feature.  I also like the idea of cruise control while looking around which is essentially the same thing.  At any rate, we need this feature on the Mini 3!!!

Indeed, it is simple.  If you understood how it works & why it is currently unavailable, you would have requested an OA toggle in your initial post.  Instead you exposed yourself as a numbskull, whining about being deprived of a "feature", then retroactively editing your original post to conceal your ignorance.

As always, Bilbo, you are too smart by half.  A half-witted halfling with a hyper-inflated opinion of your own intelligence.  A Dunning-Kruger posterchild.

The RTH code is already there as well.  There is no extra code in the Mini 2.  The only thing preventing the bird yawing is OA being enabled.  Stick to commenting from  your primary account instead of pretending to be a supporter.   I suppose when one has been banned 100 times, maintaining spare accounts is important.
