Beautiful autumnal shot Mr. B.    

I remember the 80's Culture Club.  Boy George did lead vocals, Roy Hay was on guitar and some keyboards, Mikey Craig on the bass guitar and for a while John Moss on drums.

Yep. Those are they. How I got from Autumn leaves to Culture Club - who knows. Just the way the mind works sometimes

For sure.  Tried for a close-in shot, but couldn't hold the darn camera still and I didn't have the tripod with me. Bad planning.

Yep can imagine you bopping along with the dreads and the Pocket2. Good thing pics make up for it.

Thanks Monty. As soon as I saw those trees in the park beside the Mairie in this little village in the Mayenne, and the colours of the leaves, all that popped into my head

Good news here this morning is Hurricane Nicole has already been downgraded to Tropical Storm Nicole.  Winds locally are only 12 mph with an occasional gust of up to 29 mph.  Lots of rain though as they are predicting 3-4 inches.  We could use the rain just not all at once.

I saw the hurricane warning this morning before we went out for the day. I was going to ask if it was a case of battening down the hatches again, or putting out to sea like you did recently.
Glad to see this evening that it's been downgraded.

I don't know about that band, but your photo is great.

I was watching the forecast closely and staying in contact with my friends in the Navy and Coast Guard to see what their plans were.  They had plans to shelter in place with their boats so I opted to do the same.  Worked out great as all we got locally was wind gusts and lots and lots of rain.

  We're back in the UK now. Flat-calm crossing the Channel. Staying in Portsmouth overnight before heading home.
