Goats,  Goats,  Goats.........

In checking out this old pertrified tree for another photo I noticed the goats.   Fun fact they give the lady goats geo collars that zap them if they try and wonder off,  but the boy goats dont get that as for some reason they wont leave the ladies alone.

I mean, there is not much to make for an interesting composition in this frame.
It is something I struggle with when trying to look for new places to take photos.

Nice shot DA.    Seeing a petrified tree is a rarity.  Interesting about the goats and collars only on the females.

The dead tree does rather draw the eye. Good logic about the GPS collars.

Very nice shot, love combination of tree colors.

I did do an infrared shot of of the goats under a dead tree and I was looking to see if this would be better

It's probably just a lack of depth with these high objects.

This was one I did at the same spot but different tree,    still not quite what I wanted as I like to isolate the subject more.

Nice,  Im up early to get everything sorted so when SHMBO'd surfaces we get just head out to see the seals,   thats if the fog starts to clear.

We saw a couple of seals in the bay at Trearddur when it was high tide.

Lol,,   I watched a video this morning about woodland photography,  something I like but sadly Im terrible at it,   and the advice was if you're not getting the shots find a better woodland.    But it was a fun video -

Absolutely.  I took a shot of a tunnel made by trees last week and it was totally flat. I added some brightness to the end if the tunnel which some times helps but I was still not happy with it.

Me too.  I’m just not good at it.  But I’m looking forward to watching Fary Houghs tutorial on it now it’s out on his channel.
