Yea but all people use the FCC also here in my country so it means that they get 800 meters and in open areas 1 km and me with the new model 100 meters every one makes jokes about it

I don't get it, you already said you got almost 1000m in an open area. Seems like you are only unhappy with the range when flying in the city. There's nothing you can do about that.

I never say that I get 1000 meters , I say that I get 500 meters and weak signal on a top of a 3 km mountain (open area ) other people gets 1.2 km with the phantom 2 v+  and that's bad I don't know why DJI don't allow FCC here and all the people that I know use FCC with p2 v+

I thought you had said that. As I said earlier, the Phantom3 sets FCC or CE automatically by the GPS. The older Phantoms you could adjust CE or FCC by yourself by turning the screw in the back of the controller.

I never say that I get 1 km , if I get 1km or more  that would be amazing but in open area I get 300 to 500 meters with weak signal , and in the city the 100 meters that I say , and all the people that I know In my country  with the p2v+ use FCC and gets 1 km or more in open area  I don't know why DJI block FCC here.

If your country is not in CE then you can contact marketing@dji.com and notify them to see if a change can be made. I do not know the rules in your country.

yes i know that but how i i can ask to dji to change this , if find the regulation of my country that say that i can use FCC ,  

or well i don't know how long this is going to take may be i going to get the DBS antenna modification if i can't sell my standard before the promotion ends

what kind of bad thing  because i love the standard everything is amazing  how it fly , gps position , speed camera everting just the range is killing me

If your biggest concern is flying super far, then you should build your next aircraft so you can put your own TX/RX system on and get miles and miles of range. I used to have this on my DJI F550 and i could fly for miles. http://www.fpvpro.com/dragonlink/

thanks for that its really interesting i going to read about it  just to learn how it works
im fine with 1 mile or at least 1 or 1.5 km without losing signal  that would make me really really happy with my p3s  ( just to say i just do it  when i go to the beach mountains volcanos stuff like that ) i don't really  fly to far away to often but i mean sometimes  you want it and need it and its  so  good to be able to do it

do you think a DBS antenna helps to get at least what i want ?

Since your P3S is WiFI, there's really not much you can do (as far as I know)
Try to trade to one of your friends for their Vision+. Your P3S is worth more than their Vision+ so it shouldn't be hard.

I know nothing about that product, you can try it if you want. May void the warranty.

I know that But you know what happen with my controller , I never get warranty from local DJI , and if something happen I going to have to pay like 300 usd just to ship the 10 lb quad and tax  so it's better to get a new one    I just have a question if I do that what warranty I going to lose all or just the controller warranty just to be aware

I couldn't stand that extra bulk and akward  look.... In my opinion you should just sell the P3S on eBay for whatever you can get... then trade up. in my own experience when i have spent a bunch of money on mods to make a product into something its not,  I usually regret it.... The P3s is what it is, its an entry level drone thats intended for short range use. I wish you luck in you're endeavor

Thanks so much that's what im doing , im trying to sell the standard before the promotion ends
so i can invest at least 200 usd more  and get the advance , because in order to get the pro i will need to invest 600 usd and i dont have the money at this time

If money is a factor, I think the Advanced would be perfect for you. Not many have 4k TV's to watch your video anyways.

Yes i think the advance is the option ,  and then next year i going to get the next model , or may be im going to keep the standard with the modification and buy the next model

Yes, if you don't do anything to the Phantom then your warranty would still be good on that.

oo god i hope i can get the advance before the promotion ends i know that the lightbridge works better than any modification that i can do to my phantom 3 standard  also more support and more features ,

oo do you know if i remove the vision position i get the same flyght time as the standard (25 minutes )

yea ,  i say it because i thought that the fly time was 18 minutes but now i saw the specs and i saw that is 23 minutes so there  is no need to remove weight  

Second p3p I have owned. Both with no problems, the first one got killed by a owl.

i own a phantom 3 pro and its given me nothing but outstanding results every time i fly it no mods or nothing straight from the dji website i love this thing

Phantom 3 Advance 3 batteries without problems since I opened the box with nexus 6p

Phantom 3 Advanced

Mine too no issues with updates, did have go issues it kept crashing but now no issues, just struggle with editing the great footage

Standard and Advanced for me.  Advanced was awesome from day one,  the Standard was awesome at first,  then rapidly degraded like so many others.

No problems with my standard at all after I put A DBS mod on mine 2 1/2 mile range pluss litchi app

That's why I created this poll

It would be interesting to know why people made the choices they did.

Pro: My work/profession, I think it has more features that I really need, I think it is made better than the other two models, flies better (without breaking FAA laws), I just wanted the best, etc.

Advanced: Some features of the Pro but more than the Standard, etc.

Standard: Just wanted a great bird without breaking the bank.  Did not want to risk losing an expensive bird, did not have the budget, has all the features I need to just have fun, etc.

Love my Standard.
