A clue,    Its considered the areas most dramatic ruin.   And no where near epping.  

I guess we need more clues, even the area of the most dramatic ruin nowhere near Epping doesn't help me.

I’m surprised Depp.  You visited that area I think before you came to Hadleigh Castle.   I guess that could be a clue.

Banks East Turret is the only place with an East in the name that I visited in the last three years and that's in Northumberland...

Google Maps shows a very similar image to yours where the church ruins are buried in the woods, on Back Road, EAST Somerton.?
Incidentally there's a hall nearby too - is that worth visiting?

Ps,  I didnt visit the Hall when I went there.  I was a bit disappointed that since I discovered the place it's been almost totally fenced off.

Yep,  thats the place. it was a Mecca for photographers doing Halloween style shots but since they have fenced off so you can only enter the centre of the church,  I suspect there was mayhem up there at some point.

You can get insidfe the church but not around it,   there is a sign to enter at your own risk.
