I grabbed that shot for Monty earlier as he'd just replied to me as I was parking.    I wish I had taken the SLR with a big lens as there was some nice swans in the fog that might have made a nice shot

Wow, that is some very thick fog DA.  I'd hate to be out on a sail boat in that stuff and trying to navigate the old fashioned way.

Well gale force winds came in overnight and blew the fog away,  and its now started to rain.

I got ahead too but since then a few bulbs need replacing and then I will try and edit a short clip from my next guess where.

We shouldn't moan too much about the rain as it is needed,  but it does get a bit boring.

True. But we Brits LOVE to moan about the weather
I'm still working on the footage from the Loire, showing dry stretches due to the summer drought.
The estuary is only tidal as far as Nantes, but we were a good bit further upriver, towards Angers.
Sandy riverbed everywhere.

Seems you've been having a bit of weather changes recently.  The winds here are unusual for this time of year.  I saw a variation in 23 mph on the boat's anemometer yesterday.   A few light winds and then gusts right behind them.  Also weird as the winds in the morning were out of the Northeast and in the evening they had switched to the Southeast.

At 10am here we had 36mph gusts,  luckily I got my walk in before the rain came.   I saw a dog walker that I see regularly ( I think we are the only two at that time down there) and she said to me,  it's nice to be able to see today.

Yeah, that's quite gusty, especially if you are walking into the wind.  At least you got your walk in before the rains.
