Hey, I’m planning to travel to the U.S. soon and I’m taking my Avata. I’m from Spain, so I’m not familiar at all with the drone flight regulations there. Does anyone know what I should need license-wise or have any resources I could look into? Thanks in advance!
Hi, Canicity. Thank you for reaching out. The Saint has given good suggestions. We want to add to contact the local government where you will be staying to avoid confusion with their laws. You may also contact FAA directly here's their contact-us link: https://www.faa.gov/contact Thank you for your valued support.
For those who have that situation here are the instructions
Here's what you need:
Register Here (https://faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/). The FAA will consider the certificate issued to be a recognition of ownership rather than a certificate of U.S. aircraft registration.
Complete the free online TRUST. (https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_flyers/knowledge_test_updates)
Comply with the rules of The Exception for Limited Recreational Ops (https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_flyers).
