No doubt about that.

Ive been using an ND2000 filter a lot recently as you cannot see through it,  but if you turn on live view the camera will ramp up the iso an d you can see through it,    but you really feel the hit on the. battery life.

I'm sure it is sucking the juice out of the battery in that mode.
