Due to the DJI MIC receiver being too heavy for the Osmo 6 Mobile i have tried to mount the receiver to a hotshoe and run a TRRS cable out of the Receiver "out" port into the iphone lightning port Via the 35mm-Lightning dongle. I can not seem to get audio to the iphone, and in the off chance I do.. its very muffled and choppy. I have tried mutlitple brands of cable and bought another dongle thinking it may be a cable issue. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

This is only guesswork and no personal experience as I don't have an iPhone myself, but could you use a Lightning extension cord instead? As far as I know, the DJI Mic does not support audio through the 3,5mm output when using on phones. I think the 3,5mm connection is only meant for computers, cameras, voice recorders etc.
