Can DJI please give a list of lav mics that work with the Osmo Action 3. I am fed up with buying ones that don't work

I bought the Omni directional one

Our ALuratek wireless one works, our rode wireless go and cable works see my vid,  just make sure the mics you use are not TRRS style

The whole TRRS thing is hard to find out when buying a USB C mic

I already had 3 or 4 only one from Purple Panda is TRRS 3.5mm plug they are mostly TRS
Adapters from 3.5mm plugs are less than ideal I would suggest that cubilux one on amazon link above rather than very cheap one, you can use it for good audio input with your phone too.
There will be others work but it is apparently impossible for DJI to say what factor makes USB-C mics work or not work so they just mention specific ones which 'should' work, but might not even be available.

When looking make sure they are for cameras not smartphones.  an trrs to trs adapter can be had. I got one in my  collection

the Reciever has no inner accu, power via camera.

codec 265  4k 50fps. rs sreen always on/. mic 10-15db
after 14 min recording camera overheat

update:
smallrig wave indoor connect to OA3
cam setting: screen off!
4k / 25fps/ rs+ / ultrawide / automatic / codec 264

mic setting step 4 cam + 10db
after 1h .2h runtime are possible

will also test with codec 265  10bit 4k 60fps

more
than 1h with screen off is possible
Accu drain  is ca 1,2%/min

Thank you, but I wonder why can't DJI get it right though? How about a class-leading 3.5 mic input this would solve all this input and dongle issue

I have bought a Windslayer which works well so have given up on external mics

I've got a Purple Panda working on mine with the GT usbc/3.5mm adapter. I use it for motovlogging and have not had one video audio I can use yet. Currently set at -12db with foam cover x 2 and a dead cat on it.
Have to say , the audio compared to GoPro is poor. C'mon DJI, sort it out please.

I used a Sennheiser USB C Lav mic, works great and its high quality. Just OSMO peaking issues keeping this from being the best solution.
