Im feeling the same way today.   But if it does stop I still have to wait for a delivery before I can escape.

Have you considered waiting to see what the Pocket 3 might bring?  

Only negative I've seen on OA3 is the focus issue that has been reported numerous times.  Other than that seems to be a really good action camera.  I looked at it but decided to go with the GoPro 11 instead.

A valid point RDB.  I'm just at the casual interest stage just now. I hadn't planned on any further purchases this side of New Year.

I haven't seen anymore recent rumors on when the Pocket 3 will be released but I had originally hoped it would be late November/early December so as to be available for the Christmas season.  

However, neither of the two reliable DJI leakers have mentioned it lately on their Twitter accounts so guess we just wait and see.  

By the way my oldest granddaughter is looking for a good beginner's mirrorless camera.  Any recommendations?  I have a Fujifilm GFX50S but she says it is too complicated to use for a beginner.

No probs.  I did run it by him but he says he doesn't use mirrorless cameras.  The granddaughter said that her Photography teacher strongly recommended a mirrorless camera so that is the way she is trying to go.  Guess I'm going to have to contact a local Photographer I know and see if he can shed some light on this and see if he also recommends a mirrorless camera.

Still works well but the battery is exhausted and needs replacing. I don't use it anymore.

I had an interesting conversation with two professional photographers yesterday.  Both use and have DSLR and mirrorless cameras.  Interesting that both stated for new photographers mirrorless cameras are the way that they recommend.  I took some notes and below is a short of what they told me.

1 – Portability: because they’re made without a mirror box they’re lighter, more compact, and faster.  
2 – Quieter:  they don’t have the mirror flip characteristic of a DSLR, which means the make less noise.  They also have fewer vibration for the same reason.  Gives you the ability to shoot silently making a difference at some shoots.
3 – The electronic view finder: gives the ability to see the exposure while composing the shot is an advantage of DSLR.  You see quickly how your settings change your exposure and depth of field.
4 – Technology:  mirrorless technologies are constantly changing and pushing the industry forward in ways that DSLRs are not.

They both recommend extra batteries for mirrorless because of the electronic view finder using more battery power than a DSLR.

Just thought I'd share what I found out.

Without a doubt you got me beat back a long shot.  I was stationed in DC on one tour and while there I met this lady that spoke 12 different language and fluently I might add.  What was mind boggling to me was she could go from one language and smoothly convert to the next message without losing a beat.  I used to call her the Mini United Nations lady.

I've only met a couple of polyglots in all my travels. One was a teenager who had an English dad and a French mum. He had no trace of an accent in either language, and in addition he had studied Italian and Spanish at school. Amazing skills. And of course, the younger you start, the easier it is.
