An aerial reconnaissance shot from 70 years ago, compared to a similar view from the Mini3Pro today

Thanks Peter.  I think I can get a better comparison by moving the drone about 50m forward, and rising to maximum permissible height, then lowering the camera angle a bit.  I shall try again as it's only a short walk from home.

Thanks David. Yes the chimney is still standing, but is long-defunct of course.
There are a couple of others around the town.

Thanks.  The sun finally came out but I’m in the double dog house. The route I choose was very muddy then we found ourselves in the middle of a cross country running race and all the paths were very nasty.  Hoping the weather lasts and we can take a run out to Aldeburgh  tomorrow,  last time was a washout.

Yes. We have to expect our drone activities to be restricted for the next few months - but then Spring will be here again with all its opportunities.

Here's a closer look at the mill and chimney. You can see that the mill nearest the river has been demolished, just leaving the chimney.

Thanks. Originally, all the mills along the riverside were water powered, gradually giving way to the Industrial revolution.  That shot was from the Pocket2, not the drone ( You can just see a corner of the bridge parapet, bottom right)

I was thinking about if you used a drone for this, since it looked like there was a bridge right there.

Curious.,  the chimney in the old shot looks taller but that doesn't appear to have been touched.
