I turned around after taking the previously shared pano and took one more pano with the Eendracht in it.
I like the turns in the canal in this stretch. Not sure why they dug it like that, but it must have been a big big job (digging everything by hand)

Lovely view. A nice towpath alongside the canal for walks and cycle rides.

Remarkable shot.    I'm going to go get another cup of coffee and take a 2nd and possibly a 3rd look as I can't find the Eendracht anywhere in the shot.

One of those is a sail boat indeed.
But it is also a Dutch word meaning that you think alike.

We can walk in two directions along the canal towpath, from just along the road - each leading to an adjacent village ( and café )

They made a bicycle path on some parts of the canal, but the road is almost everywhere on that side.

The narrowboats are generally 2m10 in width, and there is room on the canals for them to pass with a bit to spare. But in some sections the canals are only wide enough for one at a time. They have to alternate. In tunnels, or over aqueducts for example.

We are a flatland, so the only reason why the canal is more narrow is because a. there was not enough money or time to dig wider OR b. there is a bridge or lock.
