You may Decide if the DJI Products are 100% excellent audio,  samples in the video

Pros
1 works on any trrs system
2 clearer audio
3. mic gain control is  available and only when Pro is  chosen along with the gain, and omni-directional mics
4. USB type c mics allowed with no other cables

Cons
1 will need to purchase for a TRS system
2 audio sounds the same
3 Noise wind reduction cancels out pro is off its defaulted mics
4 no cold shoe,

these are just some of the  pros and cons   post down below your thoughts

The key point you did mention several times is the input to most adapter cables must be TRRS - if your input is TRS you will need a further adapter.

A 90 degree bend would make it neater has anyone found an adapter cable like that I expect you can get a stand alone 90 degree USB-C bend.

Can DJI include lowering the gain levels below +0.0 to like ...up to -15.0 db? I have the USB-C / TRS Cable, but when I hook up my Sennheiser Wireless Mic Unit, the gain is still too high. I would need to adjust it to about -6db - 12db

think not    why would you want lower gain they did not even include a mute as we can use a gain control      optional purchase, by teh time deji offers what most do not want that is the only way to go about it
