Thanks Mr B, As I use it I discover more about it - eg.If youactivate the record video in the upright position then turn it upside down you get upside down but if you activate in the upside down position then you get right way up - found that out  - cpold not understand why my second and subsequent underwater videos were all upside down

Maybe it's beacause you're in the wrong hemisphere
I think, just like any device, we slowly discover features as we go along .

Very nice video and I was impressed with your detailed impressions.   Nice to see an unbiased review.  Great job Droffarc.

PS - My GoPro 11 tends to overheat also when shooting in 4K for an extended time.  If I shoot in 1080 I can go through an entire battery and it never heats up.

Maybe, but I think the OA3 seems to be doing all that you want it to and that is what counts.

It is kind of weird how some have the focus issue and other don't.  Has to be some type of manufacturing defect.
