It seems the folding technique works best with lines so I ventured out and tried this again.  If nothing else @Montfrooij might like the railway thread.

The fold style is too bad,   take two shots and then the top shop needs to be sized adjusted slightly so that the pattern lines up.    The insurrection style image is going to take a lot of work to figure out.

Better, but the bit of road on the right is lost. Would a bit more altitude for the lower shot have helped?

Not sure,   I think the side road breaks the leading lines which seem to make this work.

Do you have examples from others?
I can't find it on IG (that is horrible for finding stuff)

I think I'd really like it if it was blended together with more shots (I know, it's meant like this but still...) The best one yet!

This is the 'inception' style. Which is great indeed.
But not what David was starting this thread with.
That is more a 'fold' style.
Like your image is folded, with a clear fold line in the middle.

I feel it is not complete like this.
If I would make such a thing, it would have to look like a book that is open or something.
So the shadow and perspective would have to match that.
Now it looks like 2 images that are related but don't match in the same frame (to my eyes at least)

It might look like that, but actually it is not.
My other toys are complicated, this one is very straightforward.
Our oldest is already playing on it without my help.
And she would not know how to do that on my other toys

I know it has quite a few buttons, but the one I first wanted to buy (which was twice as expensive) has many more options (and buttons and menu's and screens)
This is really a 'bit of everything' machine that can make many sounds, but you can't change much about them. Luckily it sounds great 'out of the box', so I have a feeling I will keep this one.
Perfect for an artist who is playing in a band and quickly needs 'sound x or y' without much tweaking.

I agree.  It’s not the best example.    But the first I found.     12 hours of rain today so no joy in trying the other method yet.
