Myself and collaborators have completed a simple program for full computer control of movement and focus in python language. Both logging movement and focus and replay of such.
Might publish it on github with instructions for Christmas for all to use.

Recently I just learned remote control by S.BUS with focus motor.
As you mentioned in reddit, I think the interface to PC is like bellows, right?
PC <--> USB <--> (some I/F to s.bus) <--> focus wheel unit <--> RS2
