I called traffic control of the nearby RAF airfield and they said, okay, I can fly.

I remembered our conversation from when you were headed there - I hardly had to refer to the internet for confirmation - Too easy.  David will be annoyed he wasn't around to beat me to it

Not one I recognise,  but because the pub was included in the shot tracking down the Fortescue arms was possible to find it.

Your comment about instant recall made me think of that Total Recall movie that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.  According to some that was one of the best sci-fi movies of all time.
