All gone but one.  DA, that is a splendid shot.    The sky colors are so alluring to the eye.  No doubt you used AEB on this one.

I think they play hide and seek.
But their masts give their whereabouts away

If you look closely this ones door is open and they are also about to head to the slip to be removed.

The boat numbers had been dropping slowly for the last month,  and then overnight almost 20 boats disappeared,  they must have been busy getting them out.

They must be moving them at times when you aren't out and about.  I doubt they are moving them at night as that can get dangerous rather quickly.

This morning at high tide there was no boat activity at all but the birds were a bit of a nuisance.   Cut it short though as there was lightening above the clouds and then a rain alert.  Should see -1c by next Thursday here.

No sub-zero temperatures on our 10-day forecast yet.

They have a really good system there where each boat gets a cradle on wheels and the slip has a winch system,    so tractor delivered empty cage,    it's lowered down into the waters. boat sails into cage,  ties up and then they pull it up the slip.   The tractor then takes over and moves the boat in cradle to a parking space.   they can move a lot of boats in one tide from what I've seen.   And of course Im not there for every tide.

Absolutely.   I suspect as im near the coast we will miss most of it,  Im sure the salty air keeps it away.

That is quite the effective process.  No doubt that process maximizes the amount of boats they can move each tide period.  Only limiting factor would be available parking space and available cradles.

Which reminds me I wanted to do a comparison ... of that between winter and summer.
