Interesting shot DA.    That shot brings to mind at how that boat got there and why is it tied off with so many ropes on the bow and stern as if they are expecting issues at high tide.  That shot just brings up so many questions.

It’s going to need a very high tide to get off there.  Mind you it is flat bottomed which will help it.

Okay, being flat bottomed might be why they have extra ropes on it.

When my son was building boat docks, piers and bulkheads he had a flat bottom barge with a mini crane installed on it.  He said it was  very squirrely in the water compared to the previous barge he had with a shallow V hull.

squirrely got to be a good thing surely,   I sailed an old barge many years ago,  you would steer,   send written confirmation in triplicate to the rudder. made a hash for lunch,  eat it,  drink coffee.  plan dinner and then the boat would steer.

It must have come on from the water as there's no way a crane could get to that spot to lift it in there.

If I remember I may have to head that way next time we have a 6m+ tide and see how much water gets there,   Usually if the tide is much more than 6.2m they close the flood barrier so maybe it predates the flood barrier.

It was terrible the first few times I sailed it as you would tend to oversteer.    Sadly the guy that owned it who used to let the RNLI use the boat for training exercises had a heart attack whilst being rescued from his own boat.   It was very sad,  and he was such a character.

Im always surprised that the local scroats dont untie those old boats in the hope they will float away.
