I thought you may enjoy my recent list of excuses.  : )

The M3 Cine came out perfect with no damage by the way.  Literally not even a scuff which I could hardly believe.  Even the props were undamaged.

Lucky no damages Tony

I was fully prepared to send in for repairs.  I figured no way I come out of it with a working drone.  Also made me think about how I am not such a fan of the SSD, because if I had not been able to access it, would not have even gotten the footage.  I think unless doing prores, I'm sending it all to the mem card.

It was less than brilliant piloting of the drone.  : ). But got by that time.

Yeah, Lady Luck was on your side Tony as far as keeping the drone from falling all that distance.  I'm guessing the palm fronds had enough give to cushion the crash but still be able to hold it in until the rescue.  By the way, how did you find a bucket truck available so fast?

Well thats the best part - I was filming for the same lights that the bucket truck folks are usually hanging.  : )

There was me thinking that you just take a cherry-picker with you whenever you're out filming, just in case.

Yes.  They come out to check the lighting before I film it, then depart.  I had to sheepishly get on the phone and ask them to turn around and come back, but I think I was waiting less than 30 minutes.  Just enough time to sit there and look at the beautiful red light at the top of the palm tree.  : )   A very expensive christmas light!

I think I left it on, but it most certainly was too dark to be of value.

For every flight at dusk, the Mavic 3 warns that the OA sensors are unavailable...

No doubt about that being an expensive Christmas light.

Oh well, all is well that ends well.

lol yes!  And it only cost my embarrassment at having to call and say, "Can you come back please?  My drone is in the tree you just decorated."
