DJI seems to keep their promise:
the C1-label ordering for existing Mavic 3 customers starts tomorrow. Here are the informations:

Looks like DJI has integrated that process in their DJI Fly App

Yipieeh, so we will get an update of the Fly App by tomorrow, because according to their description we need version 1.9.0 and above. Current version is 1.8.x…

It depends on where it comes from. Probably takes 10 to 20 days.

Right, it seems C classification is already in effect from 2023. Just a transition period for drones without it until 2024. That's good

I  really was under the impression that I would see a firmware update popup in the DJI Fly App? (I'm using the RC Pro)

Maybe it was just the annoucement that was for today and the actual firmware update at another time?

There are still regions on the planet that still are within the 8th of december and anyway the 9th still runs for many hours in most parts of the world.
Guess we all have to be patient. At least a bit. :

We are on the latest version of the DJI Fly app, no pop up has appeared here in the UK?

What time, and more importantly what time zone will it be released is?

I’ve just made a comment about the time zone for the release, perhaps it’s related to US east coast time zone, as that’s when all other DJI releases seem to be made.

Glad it's not just me then,   hoping they add other features with the 1.9.0 release,  the C1 label for UK is pointless now.  Were better off without it under out rules.

I think they will add because of the number. From 1.8.0 to the 1.9.0 is a big difference only for adding c1 and a new drone. I think it will have a few more.

- DJI RC PRO, Samsung S22 5G, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 LET and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 all have 1.9.0 now.
- DJI RC 1.9.0 not available by now, will try again later

DJI RC now online, too. With F/W v01.02.0200

New firmware just dropped!

There must be a load of people all around the world trying to download it right-now, its really slow, i'm only getting about 400kbits speed, even though i'm on a 1GB Fibre broadband.

New waypoints feature looks good!

Also noticed this, not sure if it was there before though?

Yes, but it adds support for the new Mini 3 launched 1pm GMT today.   So it should be updateable now....

If you and the drone are in the United Kingdom, then you won’t be able to apply for a C1 label.

You have to be located in a country that is part of the European Economic Area.

I suspected that might be the case, in that DJI would have been told to do that by the CAA.

So has anyone here based in and EU country managed to get the menu option and applied for the C1 label?
