I tend to agree.
It is getting crowded in the <250g area.
Mini SE, Mini 2, Mini 3 st, Mini 3 Pro.....

Main reasons for upgrading would be.
- Better sensor
- Portrait mode
- D-Cinelike
- Hyperlapse
- AEB-5- 50fps at 4K

So it lacks 4 out of 6 reasons to upgrade from Mini 2.
I could live with the lack of 50fps and hyperlapse, but with just portrait mode and the 'better' sensor.....

Well, that is quite a thing to pay € 450 something for. (without a controller)
I will keep saving for a Mi3P.

Really not finding any real benefit from the AEB 5 over the 3,  the stops are too close together I feel.   But the sensor improvements and the fact the gimbal on the Mini3 works properly was enough to warrant the upgrade.  Now I need to decide if I will keep the three new batteries for the Mini3 or sell them as I think the ones I have will get me to the Mini4 upgrade time.

I bet after Christmas we will see Mini2 and Mini SE disappear as they sell out of stock.

I do like the 5 much better.
But that is maybe because I process my images differently.
And I agree, the better gimbal operation at 90degrees is also worth something, not that I run into that limitation very often.
I'm not sure about their plans, maybe they keep the M2 as a real entry level drone as the Mi3 is too expensive for that.
€ 786 for the FMC is about € 300,- more than the Mini 2 is right now.

There have been some big discounts on the Mini2 which makes me think they are clearing the stock,    its also much cheaper for them to manufacture the mini 3 and pro than the 2 and the three as there are many more cross over parts on the 3 line up.


I find that aeb5 shots in low light often will not merge in Lightroom but the three shots will and with the much higher dynamic range on the Mini3 Im not feeling the benefit like I did when I used to do aeb5 manually on mini2.

Ps.   Got hit with the Monty curse earlier.    I was just walking along the railway and heard something funny, like a steam train. But then it stopped.   I carried on and a few minutes later a steam train came past and I almost drowned in the smoke and steam.  Doesn't come back until 10:50pm so no second chance to get it.   Annoyed I didn't send the drone into the fog to look for what it was.
