Dear DJI Action 2 users, the DJI Action 2 Gyro Data Public Beta firmware is about to release. We sincerely invite you to join our public beta test program and share your feedback in this thread afterwards.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to each user. The official firmware has released on 2023/2/16.

FAQ:
1. How long will it take to receive the beta firmware after filling out the questionnaire?
The Beta firmware will be pushed to your DJI Account on December 20th.

2. How to update beta version firmware?
Log into the DJI MIMO APP with your DJI Account, connect the Action 2 to the MIMO APP and make sure that you have internet access, a firmware update notice will pop out, then follow the notice to download and upgrade the firmware.

3. How to set up the camera so that the video will include gyro data?
Resolution: 4K (4:3) 24/25/30/48/50/60; 4K (16:9) 100/120.
Stabilization: off
FOV: Wide

4. How to make post-stabilization?
Please download and install the latest version of Gyroflow software, and make sure that the relevant json files of DJI Action 2 already exist. Open the DJI Action 2 video in Gyroflow, and you can set related parameters and stabilize it.

• Big thanks to everyone who joined the DJI Action 2 beta firmware test. Based on the test feedback, we are working on the second beta firmware, 01.04.04.20.
• This firmware fixed a rare issue on the 01.04.04.10 beta firmware: video recording may twitch in Gyroflow when mounted on an FPV drone. The latest beta firmware will be forwarded to all DJI Action 2 beta firmware testers that are already involved.
• For those who wants to be included in the testing, please contact DJI support to sign up.
• The firmware is a beta version and does not support being downgraded temporarily. Feel free to send the feedback to DJI Support when encountering any issues with the beta firmware.

Tried several times and doesn't update for me.

First of all, thank you very much for supporting an outdated product like Action 2.
New beta firmware installed successfully, everything seems ok, but the gyroscope data is only available in 4K recording, which in 4:3 mode only supports H265 codec, this can be a problem with slow computers. Can you add the gyro data to lower resolutions like 2.7k 4:3 that can work with H264?

The final video (indoor) does not seem stabilised to me, it oscillates like the orginal more or less. It loses Wide view, now it's like Dewarp. I used Gyroflow 1.4

Nothing here yet, have checked a few times today
