I like my Osmo Action 3 so much I just bought a second one. Just the Standard this time as I have plenty of batteries etc. Amazon have quite a bit of discount off at the moment

Congrats on getting your 2nd OA3.    Seems like a decent camera after the latest firmware update.  

I noticed the big discount on Amazon and was tempted to buy but waiting a few more weeks incase I got old stock with possible focus issues. Please let us know on the forum what your new camera is like, it will be much appreciated.

I actually have been wondering to buy also another one like I did back then with OA1, but will wait until next year.

Would be interesting to see some 3D stuff made with these cameras. Not sure how hard it would be in practice thought, and as the 3D TV really didn't take off to the mainstream, quite many can question whether that would be worth the effort. I personally love my 3D TV and projector, but I have to admit at least those techniques of executing the 3D are not the technolgy of the future, if masses are to be believed.

Did think how it would turn out with two Pocket 2's, but I guess the gimbal movements would make it too hard in practice.

It is a good price, I need the adventure pack with the extra batteries because it will be my first Action 3 camera and not buying it as a second camera. Its not much more than the standard combo and still a good price. Part of me is thinking buying direct from DJI as cameras will be from the latest good batch. Amazon is slightly cheaper but may have older stock so I was prepared to wait a while longer. I've used DJI products for years and have been very happy so I can't wait to get an Action 3 to go with my Action 1 and drones.

I suspect the Amazon stock is new stock. I would buy while it is at the good price

No idea just woke up looked on Amazon and saw it was a good price and bought it. I use the one I have quite a lot and to have a spare is good and also it might be useful to have one pointing one way on a vehicle or boat etc and still hold the other one.

Just ordered the Windslayer from ebay.... Will take a while but £4.98 speedpac from China

It is still the one for the Osmo Action but they seen to fit ok

Does the second one have better focus than your first one? I watched a few of your videos and they are not in focus as another user who posted his camera with a November manufacturing date.

They are perfectly good as far as I am concerned. You have to try not to get too OCD about these things

Not quite sure how you would know about the Quality of the second one.... Perhaps you are using the force or something similar or perhaps are in the upside down as no one except me has seen a video from the second one

You are quite right however that I am very happy with my Osmo Action 3 and so could others be if they were not so ridiculously particular, tried to get past their OCD and accepted that this is an action Camera and used it how it is designed to be used.

Yeah. Shake ‘em around and they work really well. You can't see any poor focus then.

But I have to say without joking, since today I compared a bit with the GP11 after the OA3 improvement, THAT the 1080 from the GP11 is even worse than the first unusable OA3 pieces sold. I have no idea why that is. The output from OA3 at 1080 is really great, even oversharpened, which is enough for some people, yes, for classic monitors and TVs.

I'm laughing because you're ...ting in your own mouth. You describe what an action camera is for, and a 10-year-old phone would serve you 100 times better. And you'll buy another one....age doesn't make you wiser, it's dementia, alzheimer....in the best case, just irritability, prejudice. You may have more experience, but you need to use it, not abuse it.....I mean life experience, not recording technology. Well, I'm still learning to accept people like you and the other old man, because we're all one ;)

I'm glad you're happy with your cameras, albeit with a focus problem! It's great that you only use them in 1080, after all, who else uses 4K...it's old fashioned and pointless

Osmo 4 will only offer Full HD resolution at 30 fps, anything else is a waste of resources !

I think I know what the second camera is for. But actually, he would probably have to buy two more. Then the video from the 4 cameras can be put together to his personal 4K video.

Well the world of Cinema use 1080p 24fps 10 times more than any other resolution . But what would they know. We all remember the disaster of shooting the Hobbit in 60 fps, it never took off and thats why still to this day 24 fps is the only choice for cinema footage, maybe Bigplumbs is on to something.

At least now you've shown that you understand it, and it still seems to me that it's one person, already under 3 nicknames. Cinemas use 24fps for the smooth movement, but the maximum resolution it can give!!! I would like to see you in the front row watching a 1080p movie on a 20m long screen...
