Yes,  although it was -5c this morning and it was nice to be the only one out.   Especially then there were no witnesses.

The things we did as kids.  Sometimes I wonder how we survived some of the stunts we pulled.

It’s the worst snow I’ve ever seen.  The trucks couldn’t get through so the shops were rationing food.

Compared to Newyork that was nothing really.   We don’t cope with snow.

Well New York should be able to cope because they have all the right equipment and plenty of stuff to put down on the roads.  The only problem was the snowfall actually doubled the forecast amount.

Since then you see a lot more ploughs here.  Just got to the MILs and slide off the driveway, there’s half an I ch of ice on it.    I’ve been good and scattered salt.

I'm waiting until January. We've reached an accomodation regarding this machine
I've been using the smartphone some of the time, but it's a pain.
Going to go up to SCAN near Bolton, to order a custom machine.
Off-the-shelf ones from the electrical retailers might not fit the bill.

Not at all.  This one was built by Novatech in Portsmouth, about 2 years ago. Their location was convenient for visit and personal collection while passing during travel back and forth to France.
I still have to repair my tower, but that is not quite up to the job of processing video editing quickly enough, whereas this laptop is well up to the task.  I made the mistake of letting Mrs. B use it for a while, and consequently it became "hers"

Ive used Novatech a few times over the years, they have aways been very good.    But for day to day use ive moved to a Mac and I have to say its the best laptop Ive ever had.

I've always gone down the Windoze route so far.

I still have some windows machines along with quite a few that run Linux/Debian and ESX.   But for fairy driving Im really liking the MacBook Pro I have.

When I replace the hard-drive in the tower I shall load it with the Ubuntu flavour of Linux.
I dabbled with that for a while several years ago.

My windscreen has heating elements inside it and when you have it on and spray the window you get big clouds of steam at the moment.
