Did a quick test today because the weather cleared a little and i was shocked that the autel was so out of focus. On the screen it looked sharp and focused in. Maybe a FW will fix it but Mavic 3 in HyperLapse is still King

Very nice comparison Suren !  DJI comes out on top here for sure ,  it looks razor sharp compared to soft video produced by Autel's drone. I think we may owe it to Autel that DJI increased max flight height to 1000 meters from 500 meters as Autel has 800 meters, but maybe I am wrong

I would say so as well but I sent the videos to the dealer and he sent out another drone saying there is a bug in the FW and not to update the new drone until the next FW which fixes this issue and a few others.

'No Geo Fencing' alone, is a strong enough reason for considering an Autel. Let's hope DJI will once again play catch up the way they implemented Waypoints on the Mavic3. Thank you again Suren. Looking forward to seeing your video showing a Mavic3 getting force landed into the water while the Autel just kept going!

are you posting your comparison in the autel forums?  im wondering what other autel flyers think about your evo 2 video?  i have an evo 2 and the video seems a bit better than what you have posted.
eta:  ok, i see you mentioned something about a bug so there might be an open question?  i have the v1 version of evo 2 pro.

No geofencing is a blessing.  I don't have that issue when I'm flying my Skydio 2+.  Only with the DJI drones.  

all Autel automated programs are bad and they always have been .

Can you tell any difference in flying characteristics?

That might happen. My replacement Autel Just came and did a quick test flight on it and it looks much better, battery is too low so cannot do a video till charged up

Yup, I also post on Autel Pilots. The replacement drone with the Factory FW arrived and it looks much better but will need to test further. Its a great drone.

That might be true for their HyperLapse and Panos but they kill Dji with their Waypoints. Dji won't ever touch Autel in the consumer range with waypoints.

The drone flys much slower but from what i was told this will open up in the next FW, Drone is solid and handles wind pretty well, the OA system is rock solid, just wish it did the bypass like the Mavic 3 instead of only brake, i feel it is much less grunty than the Mavic 3 and is not as loud.

good to hear because the video from my evo 2 is nothing short of beautiful and i'm so looking forward to evo 3.  i often use autel missions (waypoints) and there are quite a few bugs and it won't round the corners without pausing so i have to do some light editing.  i hear that is going to change soon?  still, i'm glad m3 now has waypoints and i can't wait to use those as well.  maybe you can compare the two?

The V3 allows you to set how you want to take the corners, I tested a polygon mission, and it did it beautifully. Honestly, I won't even try to compare the Mavic 3 waypoints to the Autel Evo V3 as there is no Comparision and the Mavic 3 fails miserably.  I did use the waypoints on the Mavic 3 and if its anything to go by the Mavic 2 waypoints was much better. You can't even set your waypoints offline with the M3 or maybe i cannot figure out how to if it is there.

So it ended up that the drone was faulty, the replacement that was sent to me works great. Will be adding in that video soon - a quick Timelapse of some clouds

    At least Autel leaves it up to the pilot to follow the rules.  

imo, all autels are half baked copies against dji lineup. even if they are slight better in low light video at some models etc, that doesn't mean much, if they are jumpy, fly like a brick etc. gimbals, smoothens, precise controller inputs, good reception etc, this is what mostly make good drone flying camera.

You’re right their waypoints are not superior to either DJI or litchi. DJI is now on par with litchi as fat as I can see and anyone in our club seems to have huge issues with how autel flys missions.
I thought litchi on M2p was good but DJI new version waypoints fly extremely smooth and I have not seen any better.
