DJI Mini 2 01.06.0000 firmware released,  says it improves flight safety but no actualy signs of whats changed.
Gavin tested it and seems its working as expected.

Unfortunately no 'tangible' improvements (so it seems)

Interesting find DA.    Another cryptic release note from DJI (optimized flight safety).  That's as bad as when they post "bug fixes".  Too bad they aren't more descriptive on what the changes were.

Lately, DJI has really been homing in on RID.  I saw my first listing for a 3rd party RID component to use on drones.  I'm thinking as the deadline approaches we will see man, many more.

Agreed Downtown.  Maybe even DJI will release their version of a module to place on the older drones?  I need something to buy with DJI credits after all.

Lucky it was a good release, as I would normally check with a flight somewhere safe after a f/w update, but for some reason I'd convinced myself that this was a misleading message in the Fly app!

I do have some holiday plans but my big plans are to take my mini-yacht down to Cancun just after New Years.  Haven't been back to Cancun in 4 years so should be an interesting trip.  

Will DJI be reversing the decision to allow customers to rollback firmware to an older version? This is a very useful troubleshooting step when issues arise after an update.

They seem to do that because of the firmware hacks that pop up,  and by not allowing roll back they can lock those out.

Isn’t that because India  bans drones and DJI don’t sell it in that country.  

This firmware is a trash! Don’t update! I recently update my mini 2 ( little bit than 1 hour total flight) and my drone does not work with 5.8 GHz. The DJI team does not answer about this “bugged” update!!

So don’t update yours!

The problem is with the firmware 01.06.0200  and the GEN 1 DJI mini 2. Users that has MINI 2 GEN 2 does not have this problem. I tried to rollback the firmware to 01.06.0000 but the DJI increase the Antirollback of this new firmware to 4, so it´s not possible to rollback. I Think if @DJI replublish the the firmware 01.06.0000 with antirollback 4 everything will works great.

MINI 2 GEN 2 works great.
MINI 2 GEN 1 doesn´t work 5.8 GHz.

Let´s work DJI !!!!!!

I bought my Mini 2 in november last in my trip to Canada but now I´m in Brazil and everythig was working great with the firmware 01.06.0000 until last week when I update to the firware 01.06.0200 and RC 04.11.0200.

Yes. I´m using the DJI DC-n1 controller that came with the fly more combo.

it is unfortunetely a known issue with this firmware update.

As the Drone has no fan during the update, one chip on the motherboard over burns and the chip is linked to 5,8ghz transmission, there is no way to fix it, apart to change the board. DJI is fully aware about this and have replaced several drones in guarantee by changing this board.

If you do the update, do it in a fresh environment with fan refreshing the bird ....

Unfortunetely you will never get back your 5,8 transmission as soon as you change your board ...

Try reflashing with the DJI assistant.
