I work at the university using drone for crop phenotyping. I am considering a DJI Matrice 3M but am put off by the ongoing DJI Terra subscription cost. Most software has an education license provided as a onetime purchase for a reduced cost. The reason for this is that we are not using this as a business tool to make money and its good for the respective company to have students exposed to this software. For example, I use the Pix4d mapper, this is provided with an educational license for a one-time payment of $2000 for 2 seats whereas the professional version is $5000 for one seat.

  

I would like to suggest that DJI consider an educational license.

Red Edge at 730 nm rather than at 710 nm is concerning. I'll have to see the data. I'm not sure you get a proper red edge there.

Tried on 4 different P4M. Four time the same issue.

The fact is Parrot Sequoia RE is at 735nm. Micasense RedEdge MX Re is at 717nm. Sentera 6X RE is at 715nm. So a range from 715 to 735. All this camera are giving satisfactory results. Comparable with Sentinel. But the P4M has values divided by two. I really encourage you to try before you buy.
