Hi,

I've seen that the Mavic 3 has been EU certified as C1, which is great. I'm wondering if there is an ongoing certification process for the Mavic 3E as well... which class will it reasonably be? A C2 since it weights slightly more than 900gr?

It hasn't been already EU certified, correct?

You are correct, I expect C2...I'd have loved to see a solution to fly in Specific / STS but we need C5/6 and the specs aren't available...

thanks! Any news on when this could happen? At the moment I'm flying in A3 which limits a lot what I can do... I know I could take the A2 license, but still... 150m from any residential/industrial location and nowhere near any human is quite annoying

I believe that for now article 5 of the 2019/947 EASA says that specific scenario is different from STS-01 and STS-02.
You can ask for the appropriate authorization and do Specific scenario even with a Mavic 3 if you wish.

For now ! I hope C5 C6 won't come and destroy my business.

I am not very optimistic based on current direction of the EU legislation regarding drones...it's near impossible in Belgium to get any authorisations for small or medium operators. You need a team of lawyers and specialists to assist you in sending your operational requests...which is out of my financial reach...

I recently purchased an M3T and it doesn't have a C1 or C2 class... it does weigh slightly more than 900g so if it gets classified it would be C2 indeed. But knowing DJI's afterservice i think nothing will happen

1080 MTOM if I remember properly. Based on feedback it should get certified between now and later :-)

That's Belgium, not the EU.
Ireland does not have the same problem. I suggest raising the issue with your government.

That's the Belgian interpretation of the EU legislation, our government(s) doesn't care about small and medium size drone companies.

My point is that it's not the EU doing it.
My husband is Flemish, I looked at what would be involved in flying there and I agree with you. The rules are needlessly draconic. But that's not the EU's doing.

Well the EU rules are strict to begin with. And the belgian state either applies them in a strict fashion, or they put you on hold indefinitely.

The EU rules are not strict.

Hello DJI-Team,
Can somebody of you explain the actual situation for certification of the Mavic 3 Enterprise Models? I have seen that the new Mavic 3 Pro has the C2 Label. Therefore it should not be quite difficult to get this certification for the Enterprise Models. I think the enterprise customers have waited long enough, to get reliable information about the promised after buy certification.

Hi,

Are there any news on this topic. I am quite nervous, that the 4000€ are useless for me after 31.12.2023.

Thanks,

Regards,

Seems like you can now get a C2 certification for Mavic 3 enterprise: https://enterprise-insights.dji.com/blog/european-c2-label-application

Do you know when I will be able to apply for this C2 label whilst in the UK for the M3E?  The option doesn't appear in the Pilot 2 app under support as an option, however I've recently been able to apply for for my original Mavic 3 (which didn't use to allow from here). Of course no use to me currently but would be good to have, once I had bought and fitted the low noise enterprise props.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. The application for a C2 label on the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise has been supported since September 2023. For regions to which the regulations are applied, newly sold drones are delivered with a C2 class identification label. Please download the latest version of the DJI App on your device to ensure connection.

Note:
1. To figure out how to register a drone and where you can fly a drone in different European countries, visit https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/domains/civil-drones/naa.
2. To understand the Open category, visit https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/do ... egory-civil-drones.
3. To read the official FAQ about the Open category, visit https://www.easa.europa.eu/en/th ... ation-requirements.

Thanks, I ended up contacting DJI support on the online chat and as the C2 label prompt didn't appear on the controller are processing manually, installing the low noise props, sending photos etc once I get the stickers and new props.

It would be of great use, to be able to operate the Mavic 3E in the open A1 category in the European union. Therefore it would need a C1 certification. Is DJI planning to offer a slightly lighter spare battery for the Mavic 3E that lowers it's weight to a maximum of 900g and wich is combined with a C1 certification of the drone in that specific usecase?
I myself and I guess many more of your european customers would really like to see that.

I hope for a response. thank you in advance!

I am the one that would like to operate in A1, interestingly I just notice that the weight is just ~940g with the RTK module... we are really close. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening for this version of the drone. Most of the time I use it at 2.8m/s (low altitude from the ground) so I just need to keep 5m distance from people and I can get RAW shots.
