Hey everyone,

Haven't posted or even looked on here in more than a couple of years, so here are some of my favourite seascapes I've taken since (in the few times I've flown). I'm not sure if I can promote my Instagram where I post my photos, so if someone could let me know that'd be great   
Feel free to share what you think of them. You can also download them for personal use, however, please do not attempt to repost them anywhere without my consent and credit, they're identifiable on my Instagram and will be found and removed (I often have this problem, sorry for the ramble!).

Yes, the first 5 were all taken at Sydney beaches during large winter swells, whilst the last three were all taken just south of Sydney at a place called Jervis Bay which has some of the nicest beaches in the world (in my opinion )

Cheers, they can be pretty hit of miss to get depending on the light conditions and hence what I can set my shutter as, but these ones turned out ok!

Not sure if it is international.

Astonishing shots!    My favorite is the one with the 3 surfers centered in the frame.

I love that one too, but unfortunately that one isn't completely focused, so it can't be blown up anymore without it being too obvious, but it's still pretty cool!

Definitely seems like a good idea, I was thinking of also selling photos soon on riptide prints. Either way, hoping to use my hobby of photography as a bit of a side hustle as I've just begun uni, so some extra money would always be handy!

Yes, that is exactly what I have been doing too.
My hobby pays for itself that way.
I won't get rich from it, but that is not the intention.
PS, I'm not on Etsy myself, I don't feel my photography is good enough for that, but I have a couple of youtube channels, sell some images on stock sites, make music that I sometimes sell and all in all, I can replace my gear when it is broken usually.

TakeFlite: if you ever run into a problem with overseas sites try a VPN (Torguard, ExpressVPN). It might get you out of a problem.
Jervis Bay getting too busy these days. Come to think of it even Bateman's Bay, Narooma etc are crowded.

Thanks!! I do love the split shots too, they were shot at Jervis Bay in Australia, these beaches have some of the whitest sand in the world, and water to match it

It is, unfortunately, still a great location nonetheless, I love the bike path especially, and it is just convenient for a short holiday just down the coast from Sydney.

Definitely should branch out and try some other spots though, I'm thinking up north might be something novel and nice

Did wedding videography twice, videoshoots for a company twice. Paid well, but I did not like doing that.

You can get some awesome reflections on lakes, especially at sunrise and sunset, maybe you could try that?

One benefit of not being near lots of water is that you're less likely to lose your drone if it disconnects or crashes, as I almost found out the hard way a couple years ago

I think it's important to do what you enjoy, otherwise, you won't want to do it, and will probably do a half-done job.

I doubt wedding photography will be my kind of thing, but you never know Too much pressure on producing good quality photos consistently for my liking

Exactly. The fun is all that makes it worth it.
And the main thing with me was having to be creative when 'they' want you to.
It felt more like production (which it is of course) instead of creating something.

Yeh for sure, having creative freedom and not being constrained is one of the best parts of photography, so it's not always as enjoyable if they take it away from you
