I have seen them change a wheel outdoor, but that was on a wagon, so not that much weight.

At a guess I would have thought the wheels were 1/4 of a ton.   On a flat surface an engine lift type affair would be great but on gravel that must be hard.

Remember they have a rail that is capable of carrying quite a bit on hand
They used 2 jacks simultaneously. Also with some kind of stabilization higher up the wagon's side.

Depends on what side they have to remove. but that said they must have a process for it.

I get moaned at as I remember number plates and which houses I’ve seen them at.

That's nice that you can recall that type info.  I was stationed with an incredible individual in DC years back and he had what was almost a photographic memory.  He could recall massive amounts of data, etc.  Too much that it would boggle my pea sized brain.
