I love looking at old buildings. This was from our Goldfields trip. The Marvel Bar Hotel is on Bayley Street, Coolgardie, and was originally a single-story iron and weatherboard building, but then demolished and replaced with the current two-story brick and iron building in 1898. It was considered "grand" in its heyday. It was severely damaged by a cyclone in 1916, then bought by Michael Moran for ₤160 and restored. But I think it's overdue for another makeover.

I really like the architectural design but it sure could use a bit of sprucing up on the exterior.
According to the FB page for the RSL club (Returned Service League) that owns it, they collected over $200k for refurbishing it in 2012.
Maybe the collectors went AWAL
