There's some glitch in this video file

I recorded this video today (January 6 - not that the date matters). The video has a total of 2540 frames.

However, when you open it in QuickTime player, it only plays 2479 frames at which point the video stops but the audio continues until frame 2540.

I insert a screenshot here of QuickTime player's control bar. What's odd about it is that it shows that the total number of frames is 2479 (on the right), but the current frame (on the left) shows 2540. You can't have frame #2540 when the total is 2479. So something is glitchy, hence QT player cannot interpret the number of frames correctly - or something...

When I open the video in another editor, it does show correctly that the total frames is 2540, but when playing it back, the video still stops at 2479 and the audio continues until frame 2540.

The camera was on a tripod. It was recorded as a standard video 1080p/30fps, standard image quality, using an ND32 filter, manual setting for shutter speed 1/30, ISO 800, EV +0.0, H265.

61 frames difference should give 2 seconds difference on sound, but it doesn't have it.

I actually heard about this, it have something with skipping frames when a video clip have higher fps than timeline.

But there's no timeline (eg like in DaVinci). This is just a straight from the camera, standard 30fps video. This is the first time I encountered this.

Just what I thought it was, we have to wait for DJI to give an answer

Now that’s what I call clairvoyance!
Maybe it's one of them rare bugs they should know about.

Hi osmonauta. Thanks for the feedback. We are looking into this issue.

There is a rare bug when set shutter speed equal to fps in current firmware.
the 1/30 shutter makes each frame is generated every 1/30sec, not smaller than fps. this causes the accumulation of the gap .
The current workaround way is to  try to set shutter smaller than fps in current firmware to avoid the issue.

It looks like this bug has been fixed in firmware 01.03.10.30.

If you still have videos that you really want to save, then try this:

1. Separate video and audio track
2. Audio track remains as it is
3. Change video track tempo to 98.90% (24.725FPS) (tested on 25FPS clip)
4. Shorten the video track and you're done

A few frames of the video track are lost with this method. But the sound was already missing anyway.

I think, try not use nd filters.

I used ND filters a few times since. It has nothing to do with it. Audio were fine on all.

So far I wasn't able to repro this issue since.
