I attempted to update firmware on my Mavic Air 2 and were unsuccessfully. I attempted the following;

#DJI Fly, only loads till 87%.
- Restarted device, app and controller
- Still not able to install
- Cleared app, controler and aircraft cache

              #DJI Fly shows the following:
                  * Aircraft Firmware V 01.01.0200
                  * RC firmware V 04.11.0200

#DJI assistant 2, only loads till 57%.
- Installed and reinstalled the assistant
- Used different cables
- Cleared all photos and videos from the drone      memory, Deactivated Anti Virus
- Restarted computer, used different USB cables

                #DJI Assistant shows the following:
                    * Current V 01.00.250
                    * Update V 01.01.1200

DJI Fly (V01.01.0200) and DJI Assistant (V 01.00.250)  thus displays different current firmware firmware on the aircraft, not sure how this is possible. But this may explain the incompatibility message I am getting.

The drone is now unable to fly, I first got "ESC error" and now a  "Takeoff failed, restart aircraft" error continuously.

I already depleted 4 batteries attempting to do the update. There are no options to downgrade to previous versions and the drone is not able to fly as is. Any suggestions, on how to solve this issue?

Hello Mavic Air 2 user

....and another MA2 is dead.

UPDATE v01.01.1200 is with massive bugs! …… with the firmware, the drone has the function of a paperweight.

My Mavic Air 2 has been DEAD for days, yes exactly since the update v01.01.1200 which DJI as it looks untested immature passed on to satisfied users who have now destroyed their well-functioning Mavic Air 2 drones when running firmware V01.01.1200.
And DJI shows no reaction to check the defective firmware, stop it and provide your customers with assistance so that their drones do what they are supposed to do again!

Fly!

A drone that doesn't fly is just a very expensive brick.

Why is an update not correctly checked for functionality before it is passed on to customers?
(Internet download stops at 99%, app firmware update stops at 87%…………..ridiculous)
Why isn't DJI able to downgrade the Mavic Air 2 again so that the drone can be used again without problems? For other models, the previous firmware is also displayed, just not for the Mavic Air 2.

Such a massive firmware error must be fixed in 24 hours!!!

I'm absolutely disappointed with DJI, ultimatum if the MA2 still doesn't work in a week then the drone will make its last flight, in the dustbin and besides, I'm done with DJI! I will not buy any more DJI products and you have lost a good customer.

DJI MAVIC AIR 2 ……………….. “Up your skills”, ….yes as an expensive DJI paperweight!

Thank you so much DJI

DD

Ps:………… I will certainly not send the scrap to any service points. NO WAY!

......look at the other posts, massive drone deaths

Same problem with my new out rhe box Air 2. Now I have a black screen so even if it could fly, I would not be able to see anything.

Hi Friends

Now DJI has removed the Chaos firmware v01.01.1200 and again the old firmware v01.01.0920 in the assistant.

DJI finally noticed after 10 days.

But that doesn't work either, I've tried three times...
99%.....................endgame.

Yes, if DJI makes mistakes then massive mistakes!

Confirm if you successfully upgraded to V01.01.1200

It appears that the the majority of users experiences problems upgrading from V01.00.0250.
May I ask-
1. If there is anybody that has successfully upgraded confirm from which Firmware version you have done so?
2. And also the individuals that were unsuccessfull, which firmware version did you attempt the upgrade from?
I will collate all the information and provide this to DJI, hopefully this will help in speeding up the process of finding a workable solution/fix.

I had no problems updating my Air 2 firmware. My previous firmware was 0920 not 0250. I used DJI Fly on IOS to do the update.
As a side note, I also did the remote (RC-N1) firmware update that was done at the end of December (there was only a remote update back then)

Thank you, much appreciated. This seems to be the trend when it comes to V01.01.0250.

No, I had the previous firmware v01.01.0920 installed.

Here, the APP breaks off at 87%, with Assistant 2 breaking off at 99%.
.
Such nonsense, and they can't get anything done here anymore...

Ridiculous.

Just had a thought:

Has anybody tried downloading the previous firmware from Dank Drone Downloader and then used Drone hacks to install it? If the errors are happening during the download and verification phases, this might be a way to bypass that.

Dank Drone Downloader: https://dankdronedownloader.com/ ... 0&type=Aircraft
Drone Hacks: https://drone-hacks.com/download

I would try it but my Air 2 actually updated successfully the day the firmware was released.

I also said that in the main update thread by DJI, people tried it but reported back that upon connecting to DH Client, it still wanted to finish the update, stuck, didn't allow to select the new firmware file

I’ve seen so many typos.  My Air 2 is 01.01.0920 and RC is 04.11.0034.  Says up to date from DJI Fly app 1/10/23.

I updated my firmware from V01.00.0250 with no problems. The update process did seem to stop at a couple of instances like it is not updating, but it is actually still updating. I waited patiently and the whole process was completed. Later I discovered that the firmware also updated the battery module, and so I ran the update process twice for my 2 other battery modules.

I did try, but it appears that the roll back number (7)associated to V01.01.1200 was applied already, at least partially. My Assistant shows current firmware 520 which has a rollback number of (1). Yet I canmot even seem to upgrade to 920. An you are not able to downgrade either due to rollback number (7) associated to firmware 1200.

Hi, Fran. Thank you for reaching out. If you are experiencing the same concern, please follow the recommendations below for updating your Mavic Air 2:
• Before updating, ensure that the battery level of the device (remote controller or aircraft) is above 50%.
• While updating, the device may automatically reboot several times. When rebooting, it is normal for the remote controller to disconnect from the aircraft automatically. Do nothing before the update is completed to avoid affecting the normal updating process.

We recommend using the app for updating. If the update fails, please refer to the method below and try again:
• Power off and reboot the remote controller and aircraft. Try updating again.
• If the update using the app still fails, we recommend using DJI Assistant 2 for updating if you have a computer on hand. Here is the download link for DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series): https://www.dji.com/downloads/products/mavic-air-2
You may watch this video on how to update using DJI Assistant 2:

We hope this helps. If you need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach us here at DJI Forum. Thank you for your support.

Hi DJI Gamora, thank you for reaching out. Based on the feedback received from "DJI Natalia" DJI is aware of the problem and working on a solution, please see attached screenshot.

DJI also removed the problematic fiemware V01.01.1200.

Hello to all victims.....

My old software v01.01.0920

We've also tried everything, even as GAMORA says!

IOS with Apple cell phone and Apple tablet...

Android with Samsung phone and LG tablet ...

Three PCs with Assistant 2 Version 15...

Waiting time for several batteries until termination...

You can forget it, nothing works anymore....

You can also forget to look for a specific firmware version, or whether it is due to a specific hardware, we have been checking everything for over 10 days.
You should also check out the other posts. No need to reinvent the wheel here, we've been desperate since launch from Firmware.
And with DJI there is absolutely no reaction.
So when my MA2 works again I'll sell everything from DJI and go to Autel. Sorry

Such nonsense, they are completely unbelievable.

DJI Loser......

Hey DJI

If this is a joke,…………… not funny.

For several hours I've been trying all variants with mobile phones, tablets, Android, IOS and PCs with Assistant 2 to update the Mavic Air 2 back to working condition!

But the junk can neither be updated to v01.01.0920 nor v01.01.1300! It still has exactly the same errors as firmware v01.01.1200!

What has DJI been working on for two weeks???
…….you simply wrote v01.01.1300 on the faulty firmware v01.01.1200?

Bye….
